9:40 AM - 10:10 AM Keynote session: W&Ws RPA journey: Building our Digital Workforce to achieve the seemingly impossible

Christian Wolf, Process Manager, Wuestenrot & Wuerttembergische AG
This presentation by W&W (Wuestenrot & Wuerttembergische AG) offers some direct insight into how RPA was able to clear an insurmountable backlog built up over a period of years in less than a month. W&W overcame a very common issue by using Digital Workers to address the most mundane of tasks and in turn won the support of the executive leadership of the bank.
Key learnings:
•When it seems too big to handle, give it to the RPA team
•Speed is the leverage and efficiency the outcome of using a digital workforce
•Choosing the right technology partner does actually make a difference
•It’s not as easy as it seems but it’s definitely worth the effort

Centralised or federated? The different approaches in structuring your automation department
2 practitioners will join the stage and give a 15 min presentation about their RPA journey. They will highlight the approaches they have taken with RPA implementation, where they are, what they have done successfully, lessons learned and what key issues they are looking at tackling next.

Case study 1: A 5 year plan of developing a global RPA Centre of Excellence: Overcoming the complexities
Based out of AXA’s global processing centre, Suparna and her team is taking charge of developing a global Centre of Excellence for rule based RPA programme that will have 4000 FTEs. One year into their five years journey, the team is constantly challenged with solving complexities to build a truly global programme that caters for the giant insurance enterprise which operates in 54 countries. In India alone, the savings target is €10-12 million. Suparna will share with us the approach they have taken to overcome the different levels of complexities that have arisen so far to achieve their final goal.

Case study 2: Continuing the RPA success within Finance & Accounting
The journey of RPA started from the Finance shared services centre at NN. Now that the first robot is live and running replacing the high-volume tasks (15,000 times a year) previously completed manually. Join this talk and find out the key factors contributing to NN’s success and more importantly the challenges they have overcome, including security and IT infrastructure which is absolutely critical to RPA program success.
